Hole in the Wall is a unique break in the stretch of beach making up Aguadilla Bay. This wave is a right breaking wave that forms next to a small rock jetty. It can get nice and hallow, but it can also get crowded. It also suffers from backwash, which you can see in some of the pictures below.
One thing to remember about Hole in the Wall, and the rest of Aguadilla Bay is that it requires a large swell to break. The reason for this is that Aguadilla Bay is shielded from the large winter swells because the land here inverts inwards causing the swell to wrap around the far northwest point of the island and back into the bay.
This is one of three breaks right in downtown Aguadilla. The other two are Schoolyards and Bridges.
